The DeBruce Foundation harnesses market forces to expand pathways to economic growth and opportunity. Our forward-thinking team is dedicated to reimagining philanthropy and making an impact through practical tools and systemic change. Civic leader and successful entrepreneur Paul DeBruce established The DeBruce Foundation in 1988 to support those in need in the greater Kansas City region and beyond. Since then, The DeBruce Foundation has made significant investments in various organizations and efforts to improve the lives of others and strengthen our community.
Mr. DeBruce has challenged the Foundation to push beyond the scope of a traditional philanthropic giving foundation. He has assembled a team of experts in various fields to identify transformative opportunities to make an even greater public impact in the decades to come.
Today, The DeBruce Foundation focuses on developing and supporting products, innovation, and sustainability primarily in the spaces of education and workforce development to change how people pursue careers. This includes partnering with educators, employers and agencies to identify and close workforce gaps and designing resources to help individuals unlock their potential to find new career pathways. You can learn more about these resources in our Agilities Resource Center.
The DeBruce Foundation is supported by DeBruce Companies, a private investment firm managing a diverse portfolio of private equity and other asset class investments across a broad range of industries including biotech, energy, manufacturing, technology, and real estate. We are not accepting grant requests or solicitations.
